Thermal
CorkShield
High Performance Spray Cork Finish for insulating, protecting and increasing safety in industrial applications.
Cork is a natural product from the cork bark tree. Every 8 - 10 years, the bark of the tree is trimmed by hand to extract the cork, and does not cause damage to the tree. During the trimming of the bark, the cork tree releases large amounts of oxygen, helping to replenish the air we breathe.
Cork has natural properties that make it an amazing coating product. Cork is naturally breathable and resists mold and mildew growth. It naturally has elastic and fire-retardant properties as well. These are some of the key properties that make cork the vital ingredient in our industry leading Thermal CorkShield.
Properties
Thermal CorkShield™ is derived straight from cork, meaning it possesses many impressive and functional properties.

Resists Salt Penetration
Slows degeneration in hostile environments.

Mold & Mildew Resistant
Suberin inhibits growth of all microorganisms.

Provides Thermal Insulation
Cork is a natural thermal barrier that will never freeze nor propagate flame.

Durable Fade Resistant Finish
Extremely resistant to harsh conditions, returning to it's full initial volume after deformation while only fading 1–2% annually.

Crack & Chip Resistant
Elastic properties that expand and contract with tempurature.

Acoustic Insulation Properties
Prevent sound reverberation and pollution.

Fire Retardent
Cork is a naturally fire retardant material that will not release incandescent particles nor propagate flame. ASTM E84-20 Class A Fire Rating.

HypoAllergenic
Thermal CorkShield™ does not shed its fibers, is non-toxic and non-VOC.

Eco-Friendly
Cork is harvested from the bark of a tree, the same tree with fresh bark is harvested every 8-10 years, releasing mass amounts of oxygen each time.
